The Cat Who Would Be Queen

Here is a sketch of Purlie Mae during her ritual morning nap. We adopted her from the German Shepard Rescue Society at Brush Creek Art Fair about four years ago. When we met she was housed in a kennel with a German Shepard puppy and she was the tiniest kitten I had ever seen. That puppy seemed very subdued and it occured to me that she would probably not have a problem with our two dogs Mollie and Prissie. I brought her home. Since then we have All learned that there is really only one way to do things and that is Purlie's way. Everyone is content with that.

  1. I really like your blog - I came here to the beginning so I could see more & I love cats - my chocolate Persian Isabella shares "her" home with and has spent a difficult 2 years training me on how to behave & how to play!
Back to you - I love your sketches - The green background is very soothing! I'm pretty new to blogging myself so I can't help with the links -
    - sorry
    Happy New Year -
